Sketchbook

I wrote a few years back that I disliked drawing and painting. The reason for that was that I was too wary about making something that was acceptably alright. In doing anything this can make you uptight which, in turn, isn’t conducive to a pleasurable experience. But, on and off, I stuck at it and now – winter 2024 (25)- I sketch, paint and draw daily. I have a page here called Artwork with – warts and all – everthing i’ve done (near enough) However, I am doing at least one face drawing a week, and the same with watercolour painting, but I’m also doing a few pieces that are an attempt at freeing up, and here they are.

Although all the pieces here are drawn and painted by me they are sometimes inspired by other artists work.
