Got my M.A in the History of Ideas. Got my PhD by defining what a cultural icon is. I write, paint, play a bit of guitar, have two allotments, like to garden, do a bit of yoga, go fishing, walk around England, play bridge and golf, watch footy on the telly, cycle – don’t have a car – need The Beatles, read Shakespeare and P.G.Wodehouse, think about stuff. Oh veggie, of course.
